The Witch is an enthralling puzzle map that’s more than capable of keeping players hooked from the moment that it starts to the moment it ends. There’s a lot about this map that, on paper, might seem quite cliché but, once you actually get into it and experience things for yourself, you’ll see that there’s a lot more depth to it than meets the eye. This is a great adventure map that’s an absolute delight to play because, while it doesn’t really add anything new or revolutionary into the mix, it does an excellent job of executing the fundamentals of this map category in order to give players an immersive and memorable experience.
In The Witch, you’ll play the role of the protector of Twilight Town. As of recently, a witch has started terrorizing the townspeople, and the town is no longer a safe place to live in. The map spans itself across ten different days and, in each day, you’ll have to face and overcome a different challenge. The progression of this map is incredibly well thought out, and things keep getting more and more interesting as it progresses so, even though the first few minutes might seem dull, we recommend sticking with the map because there’s a lot to experience later on.
Adventure maps are known to be focused on providing a high-quality single player experience but The Witch makes the bold move of implementing multiplayer into the mix in order to give players something refreshing to enjoy, and this risk definitely pays off for the map because the map’s an absolute delight to play in multiplayer. Overall, The Witch is an incredibly high-quality adventure map that we absolutely recommend trying out because it has every single feature you’d expect to see in a high-quality adventure map nowadays.
