Unknown Lands is a thrilling Minecraft adventure map that takes players on a daunting yet engrossing journey that they won’t be forgetting anytime soon. This is primarily an adventure map but it’s worth pointing out that it actually has quite a lot of gameplay elements that are traditionally seen in adventure maps so it might prove to be a bit more challenging than your average adventure map. Other than this, the map’s quite enjoyable overall because it comes with an engaging plot, top notch gameplay and a pretty well designed game world that’s quite a delight to explore.
The Unknown Lands map, as the name suggests, takes place in a strange place that’s unknown to everyone. You were on a ship on your way to another destination but, all of a sudden, one of your ship’s vital mechanisms ended up malfunctioning and you were washed up on a mysterious island. The island holds many grim secrets but, luckily for you, it’s inhabited by a tribe of villagers who will help you get out if, of course, you do favors for them. The map’s plot actually has quite a lot of depth that we can’t go into here without spoiling crucial details so it’s highly recommended that you try the map out for yourself to see what it has to offer.
As for the gameplay itself, Unknown Lands feels like a mix of survival and adventure maps. There are tons upon tons of different quests to complete, lots of NPCs to interact with, battles to fight, puzzles to complete and treasures to search for. This is the kind of map that you can pretty much never get bored with because it constantly gives players something to do and, all things considered, you should certainly try it out because you’d be missing out otherwise.
