Hat Power is a map that players will straight up fall in love with from the moment they start playing because the map makes the extra effort of adding a plot into the mix in order to give players a sense of purpose as they progress through it. Parkour maps have always been renowned for the high-intensity gameplay that they bring to the table but one lackluster aspect of these maps is the fact that they usually take place in settings that are fairly bland and don’t really have a story backing them up which is why, even though the gameplay itself is quite fun, the maps themselves don’t feel all that engaging.
In Hat Power, you play the role of someone who’s taken possession of a time machine and is on a quest to hunt and stop a time criminal before he ruins the natural timelines of our world and ends up causing chaos. This may not be the most well-thought-out plot that we’ve seen in a Minecraft map but the fact that it even exists is more than enough to make this particular parkour map worth trying out.
Alongside the story, though, the Hat Power map also adds new gameplay mechanics that players are definitely going to enjoy. The map features a special hat that players can throw forward in order to use it as a block to jump off of and, along with this hat, you’ll also have access to a slow-falling cape that’ll do exactly what the name implies. All things considered, Hat Power is a Minecraft map that you definitely need to consider trying out if you’re looking for a map that comes with an actual story for you to follow as you make your way through all of its challenges.
