Building in Minecraft is fun now and then, but only when you’re working on your house, or your farm, or something else that’s going to help you directly. Most people don’t actually enjoy building massive online worlds by hand, which is why they use mods like World Tools to help them do it. The World Tools mod basically takes some of the commands which were recently added to Minecraft and gives the player blocks and items which do the same operations. It makes building much easier in Minecraft, especially for those who possess very little or no Java scripting knowledge at all.
The one thing the World Tools mod lacks is an undo tool. This is actually very frustrating too since players often make mistakes while building their maps. Things which would normally take one or two broken and replaced blocks to fix can now take the player hours if they do it by hand. To get around this, it is advised that you save your map regularly and simply alt+F4 Minecraft if you place something incorrectly, then go reload the game using an older version of the map. An undo tool is planned for the future of World Tools but it seems like something the mod really could have used at launch.
You’ll need to learn how to use the cursor, hammer and other tools to make the most out of this mod. To do that, it’s recommended that you start off with a completely new, fresh map, one which you haven’t already spent a lot of time working on. This will allow you to make all the mistakes you want as long as you learn from them and make some progress at the same time. Once you understand how to select flat block areas to work on, how to fill those areas with specific blocks and how to flatten, raise or clear them out entirely with the eraser, you’ll be ready to start using World Tools with a purpose.
