Before going into the key details of the 404 Challenge Enhanced map, it’d first be best to talk a little bit about what the 404 Challenge actually was. The challenge was originally created by Neoxx 5 years ago when the world seeds feature was first implemented into Minecraft. The challenge was quite difficult and revolved around doing all you could to survive in caves for as long as possible. 404 Challenge Enhanced is a spectacular map that takes this challenge and elevates it to a whole new level to provide players with a challenging and exhilarating experience.
In the 404 Challenge Enhanced map, you’ll be taken into a deep cave that’s been hidden beneath a patch of gravel and the objective in this cave is to stay alive for as long as you possibly can while also completing any tasks that the map assigns. There’s no getting back to the surface in this map so all you can do is survive for as long as you can. It’s important to note that you’ll only be given a single life so you’ll have to make the most out of it and play carefully because you might die really quickly otherwise. Torches have also been banned so you’ll have a much harder time navigating through the caves in the darkness.
In this map you won’t have access to sprinting, swords don’t have swing times, shields don’t exist and no enchanting tables either so your survival time will be based solely on how skilled you are. The cave is absolutely packed with mob spawns so you’ll have to be careful every time you move around because you can never know what’s around the corner. The map has been designed to be played in single player mode but it supports multiplayer if you want to bring a friend along.
