The world has been struck by a catastrophe and, judging by the looks of things, you seem to be the only one who managed to survive this event. Now, it’s up to you to venture outwards into the potentially deadly world to see what’s left of civilization. You might end up finding a friend or you might end up finding something dark but, regardless of all this, it’s your goal to investigate and figure out what actually happened.
One thing that sets The Journey Outwards apart from traditional maps is the fact that it has a mission system that keeps players on a straightforward path until the end. Some players might not like this system because it takes away a bit of freedom but, for a significant audience of players, this system is actually great because it’ll constantly keep giving the players a sense of direction to make sure that things don’t start becoming dull for them.
