Kalos Resource Pack for Minecraft 1.8.1/1.7.10

Kalos resource pack is one of those rare 16x resource packs which manage to really stand out and make Minecraft look like a completely different game. Considering it from a cosmetic viewpoint alone, Kalos is worth downloading and at least trying out. The lower resolution means that pretty much anyone who can play Minecraft can also use Kalos while they play, and that level of accessibility is another reason you might want to check out this resource pack. Additionally, Kalos comes with an icon pack so you can deck out your desktop with various blocks from the game.

As for Kalos in respect to Minecraft, it’s a colorful bundle of textures which tend to be more vibrant than their standard matches, as well as traditional textures touched up just a bit. For example, crafting tables look more or less exactly the same in Kalos as in standard Minecraft, but the ones from the resource pack have a red cloth draped over the top. Some of the changes are very small, like this. Some of the changes are much more complex, resulting in blocks which look completely different. Iron blocks and blocks made from other mineable materials tend to look better with Kalos enabled.

Even though some of the changes really are rather minor, Kalos manages to modify much of Minecraft, from armor to art, various items, the user interface, and even some of the monsters. Granted, the mob alterations are some of the least noticeable, and you won’t really want to wait for a creeper to get close enough to see how it looks different, but the variance is there. It’s subtle, but it’s there. Anyone looking for a new view to their Minecraft world will want to check out this resource pack.
