Fans of The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass will really like the Zelda Phantom Hourglass resource pack for Minecraft. While it would be impossible for something as blocky as Minecraft to recreate the kind of graphics you see in the Phantom Hourglass game, the author behind this pack has still done an excellent job of trying to make that happen. Perhaps the only thing they could have done better would have been to replace the chicken models with birds that looked more like cuccos, the iconic birds from The Legend of Zelda series that maul the player to death if they attack them too often.
If you look at the Zelda Phantom Hourglass resource pack as if it was a Pokemon pack, then you’ll see how some of the textures really are very nice. They’re colorful and crisp, just like what you see when playing Phantom Hourglass on the Nintendo DS. The water animations are especially nice and look just like the water from the DS game, which probably makes water textures the best part about this resource pack. If you’re looking specifically for a pack that will make your water look more believable, then that alone is enough to make this pack worth trying.

As for the other textures, they aren’t all great. You’ll notice the tops of trees look especially strange, very different from how they do in vanilla Minecraft and not at all natural. Some blocks are also so different in color that it can be hard to tell exactly what they are – you’ll notice this the first time you either make or discover a patch of obsidian while underground. It’s still a great pack overall though, definitely worth trying.
