Out of all the texture packs available for Minecraft today, the Plastic Resource Pack is without a doubt the epitome of simplicity. The pack goes completely against the trend of shoving as much detail as possible into the textures and instead takes a very unique approach to its texture design. The pack makes sure to only retain the absolutely crucial detail in the textures while completely getting rid of everything else. Although this might not lead to any high definition textures, what it does lead to is a clean looking game world that’s free from any clutter and is actually quite nice to look at.
The simplified textures of the Plastic Resource Pack might not have an insane amount of detail in them, but they still look quite sharp. Of course, the best part about packs of this sort is the fact that they have next to no noise in the textures which is why they look really neat and tidy. It’s worth mentioning thought that the Plastic Resource Pack suffers from oversimplification in a few of its textures but, thankfully, most of these issues are fairly minor and don’t really have that big of an impact on the overall experience.
As of right now, the Plastic Resource Pack is sitting at close to a 100% completion so you probably won’t notice any missing textures and what not. The pack’s been made at a resolution of 16×16 which is why you will likely be able to run it without any frame-rate related issues, even if you’re playing Minecraft on an outdated machine. It’s worth mentioning that the pack is for Minecraft 1.8.9 only so you may have to upgrade your downgrade your Minecraft accordingly.
