Ancient Rome was one of the greatest civilizations the world has ever known. It is no mistake that the people, the dress, the artifacts and other items of the time are still popular today. Many Minecraft players who also have an interest in Rome can bring the look and feel of the ancient civilization to their games with the RomeCraft resource pack. While there werenโt things like Endermen back in the day, all of the monster sprites have been updated to make them look more fitting to the time period as well. This is a nice addition, especially since so many resource packs just leave the standard monster sprites.
Armor, weapons and tools are fitted to look like the classic examples weโve all seen in books and movies as well. Iron armor is the banded variety worn by Roman soldiers, complete with the battle skirts and other frills. Other armor types also have unique and interesting appearances with RomeCraft installed. The icons for all of these items are modified as well, which results in a general difference in just about everything, from flint to iron to wood blocks and wood planks. With a resolution of 32x, this pack is detailed but still light enough for most Minecraft players to use without problems.
Changes to environmental blocks are numerous and there are even updated painting items to give your Minecraft world a whole new take on art. Installing the mod is easy enough โ all you need to do is unzip the zipped file once you download it. Then, take the ready-to-use file and move it into your resource packs folder. It should be noted that RomeCraft resource pack is only compatible with Minecraft up to 1.8.1. Updates are in the works, but for now, use an older version of Minecraft to play with this resource pack.
