Sea of Cinders is a phenomenal complete monument map that’s going to put you in a nerve-wracking and highly intense situation as you try to complete the monument it has to offer. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of trying out some exceptional CTM maps, but a few have impressed us as much as this particular map has. Alongside offering the creative and immersive gameplay that CTM maps have always been known for, Sea of Cinders also adds a harsh landscape to the mix that makes things a lot more challenging for players. If you’re new to CTM maps then this isn’t really the map to start off with but, if you’re experienced and want to push your skills to their limits, you can’t go wrong with Sea of Cinders.
The core gameplay of Sea of Cinders is the same as it’s always been in CTM maps, but the catch here is the fact that you’ll also have to survive in an extremely harsh environment that’s filled to the brim with lava. You’ll also get to explore a variety of different places as you make your way through all the different challenges that the map has to offer so you’ll certainly need to bring your A-game.
One of the most impressive things about Sea of Cinders is the fact that its difficulty curve is actually quite smooth and linear. The first few minutes of the maps are fairly easy but, as you progress through it, the difficulty will keep ramping up gradually and, as the difficulty ramps up, you’ll need to play at your absolute best if you hope to make it to the end. Overall, Sea of Cinders is a top-tier CTM map that feels quite innovative and intense, so we highly recommend giving it a shot if you want something distinct and fresh.
