Stacked Souls is a captivating adventure map that takes the tried and true gameplay that this particular category of maps has always been renowned for and manages to make the experience even more immersive by adding a variety of horror-inspired elements on top of everything else. Even if you don’t necessarily play adventure or horror maps, Stacked Souls is still worth giving a shot because it’s a distinct map that not only takes place in one of the most intriguing settings that we’ve seen but also offers some spot-on gameplay that’s sure to keep players hooked until the very end.
In order to avoid spoiling any crucial details about the map, we’ll limit the details about the plot to a minimum. What we will say, though, is the map’s gameplay revolves around finding souls so that you can get access to portals that can take you to other words, raising zombies, and doing a variety of other intriguing things that you couldn’t hope to do in most traditional adventure or horror maps. The map might take a while to fully get the hang of as it consists of various unique aspects but, within mere minutes of playing, you’ll likely be able to develop a solid handle on the fundamentals and will be able to progress through without much trouble.
The Stacked Souls map has been designed to function in single-player only and this is definitely a tad bit unfortunate because a map of this particular sort would provide the perfect co-op multiplayer experience. All said and done, though, Stacked Souls is definitely one of the most unique and exciting adventure maps that we’ve stumbled upon in quite some time, and, due to this, we urge players to give it a shot if they ever get the chance to do so.
