The Odd Mob Out is the latest spin on the odd one-out style maps that seem to be growing increasingly common with each passing day. Maps of this particular sort don’t really have the complex gameplay that puzzle maps have always been renowned for but, even in spite of this, they’re a delight to play because they provide a more relaxed and laidback experience and this is something that you can’t really get in a traditional puzzle map because there are many complex and intricately crafted puzzles that players have to make their way through in order to get to the end.
Gameplay
The Odd Mob Out is a map that delivers exactly what the name implies. There are multiple different levels in the map and, in each one of these levels, you will be shown a group of mobs and it’ll be up to you to figure out which of them doesn’t belong with the rest. The core gameplay is fairly simple and straightforward but this by no means implies that it’s easy, though, because it can actually be quite challenging to figure out which mob doesn’t fit in with the rest as they’ll all seem pretty similar at first sight.
Compatibility and Technical Aspects
Maps like The Odd Mob Out don’t usually have any technical flaws as they’re pretty straightforward in terms of their core gameplay and don’t have any complex mechanics that would cause technical problems so, as long as you play this map on any snapshot of Minecraft 1.14, you’ll have no trouble getting it to run properly.
Conclusion
All said and done, The Odd Mob Out is a straightforward but immersive Minecraft puzzle map that’ll have you completely hooked on your screen from the moment it starts to the moment it ends.
