One anime fact that almost anyone will agree with is that it has a rather unique art style that makes it really appealing to a certain audience. Now, imagine if you could get your Minecraft game to have visuals like you see in anime, that’s basically the whole purpose of the Animesque HD Resource Pack. As the name suggests, it’s basically a resource pack with textures that resemble anime quite a bit. However, one plus point about this pack is the fact that the developer has manually designed every single texture unlike most other packs where the developers tend to copy textures from other places instead of creating them manually.
Although on paper it might not seem like an anime look would function that well in Minecraft but that actually isn’t the case. The anime art style and the overall blocky look of this game synergize rather nicely with each other which leads to a visually pleasing experience for the players. Applying this pack will make the game world of your Minecraft game world look slightly smoother, slightly less blocky and much lighter as well. All the colors have been given a serious lift and the color palette utilized by it is way brighter than the usual.
However, something to keep in mind about the Animesque HD Resource Pack is that it isn’t fully complete as of this moment. The developer, Devgirl Neko, posts updates to it on a fairly regular basis but it’ll be a while before this pack is 100% complete and has all the textures necessary. The maximum resolution it’s available in is x256 but if you’d like to run it on a lower end PC then it’s also available in lower resolutions of x128 and x64.
