If you’ve ever tried the Botania mod for Minecraft before, you know it offers a lot of fun and excitement to players who are used to the way the game works in vanilla. With magic spells, you can manipulate the world and its inhabitants in ways which were never before possible. You can read more about the Botania mod at the mod website, but this is actually a review for the Garden of Glass add-on, which works with the Botania mod to allow players to create skyblock worlds while using the mod. This is especially interesting for a few reasons.
Basically, if you create a new world with the Botania mod and Garden of Glass both installed, it will automatically make a Skyblock world for you using content from the two mods. The way it works is that the two mods working together allow you to get your hands on every single block, item and tool available in vanilla Minecraft, while still limiting you to a Skyblock style world. Normally this is impossible, but it’s easy to do thanks to the work which went into making these two mods. Botania is just fine on its own of course, but for the Skyblock variant, you’ll want Garden of Glass too.
It’s been explained already, but if you don’t have the Botania mod before you get the Garden of Glass add-on, the add-on isn’t going to do anything. It’s totally useless without the mod as a base. Even if you do have the Botania mod to go along with it, if you aren’t a fan of Skyblock gameplay then again, the Garden of Glass mod is going to be totally useless. Thanks to its limited scope of use, many Minecraft players will probably just let this mod slide. But if you already have Botania installed, it’s worth checking out Garden of Glass.
