Bright Shadows Resource Pack for Minecraft 1.11.2

Bright Shadows is a brand new resource pack that, at the time of writing this, is three days old. However, even though the pack is quite new, it’s still rather popular and this is mainly because of how well designed it is. This is a superb resource pack that focuses on a realistic art style and, all things considered, does an excellent job of pulling it off. It’s worth mentioning that this isn’t the most feature-filled resource pack out this since it mainly focuses on the environment related textures of Minecraft but, in spite of this, we still recommend trying it out.

Since the Bright Shadows pack only changes the environment focused block textures of the game, the user-interface, sounds, and animations of the game will stay as they are. As for the textures themselves, they’re all extremely well designed and consist of an incredible amount of detail. A lot of realistic packs have noise related issues with their textures but, thankfully, this doesn’t seem to be the case in Bright Shadows because the textures look quite clean. The pack’s color palette is a slightly darker version of Minecraft’s vanilla palette and these colors help convey the realistic art style.

The pack’s resolution is x128 so you’ll certainly need an above average PC if you hope to play it without running a bunch of frame-rate issues. It’s worth mentioning that the pack is only at 35% completion right now but of course, this is to be expected since it came out just recently and will probably see a whole bunch of updates in the near future as its creator adds new textures to it.
