It’s an absolutely phenomenal map that’s unlike any puzzle map we’ve experienced before and this is definitely saying something because there are multitudes of puzzle maps available right now. The map has extremely engaging gameplay, and it pairs this innovative gameplay with a unique and exciting setting that’s sure to grab the attention of players from the very first minute. The unique gameplay concepts of the map will definitely take a bit of getting used to since they’re very different from what previous puzzle maps have had to offer but, once you’ve gotten the hang of the basics, this map is something that you’ll never want to stop playing.
In Deflecting Rays, you play the role of the city’s defender, and it turns out that your city is about to be under attack by raiders. The only way to stop these raiders from prevailing is to activate the city’s energy shields, but this won’t be an easy task because the activation controls are in the city’s control center and the path to this center is heavily guarded by raiders who’ve managed to penetrate the city’s defense.
The gameplay of Deflecting Rays, as the name suggests, revolves around deflecting laser rays in order to complete objectives. You’ll be given access to a ray at the beginning of the map, and it’s up to you to deflect this ray by placing blocks in its direction, so the laser beam changes its direction. It’ll take you a while to figure out the optimal ways to place blocks but, once you finally figure the solutions out, the feeling of satisfaction that you’ll get will be well worth every single second of effort.
