FastLeafDecay Mod for Minecraft 1.10/1.9.4

The FastLeafDecay mod is a really simple but well thought out mod that’s designed to make sure that there’s a whole lot less clutter in your Minecraft game world which is great since the clutter can become incredibly high at times making things slightly difficult to see and also making proper navigation an issue. For example, whenever you chop down a tree in Minecraft, the leaves just seem to stay there for a while with no actual purpose or reason. The obvious issue here of course is that it’s rather weird seeing random leaves just floating in the air since they just make the game seem untidy.

Fortunately, this won’t be an issue any longer when you apply the FastLeafDecay mod to your game. As the name suggests, what this mod does is that it increases the rate of decay of the in-game leaves so basically whenever you chop down a tree in-game, the leaves won’t randomly stay there for an incredibly long period of time but instead they’ll begin to decay really quickly. The default timer for the leaves to decay has been set to five seconds but if you feel like this is too slow or too fast then this setting can be changed according to your preferences.

Before installing the FastLeafDecay mod you need to keep a few things in mind. First and foremost, Minecraft Forge needs to be installed before you apply it or it won’t function as it’s supposed to. Also, if you’re going to apply it to a server then it only needs to be applied server-side, the clients won’t need to install it as long as it’s up and running on the server. Finally, it has a few known compatibility issues with the RandomThings mod as they both modify the behavior of leaves.
