Could you imagine what Minecraft would be like if every block in the game had the same texture? Well, somebody thought it would be a good idea to try it out and see how things looked. The Literally Cobble resource pack converts all vanilla Minecraft textures into, you guessed it, cobblestone. Now, it doesn’t actually turn the blocks into cobblestone. It just makes them look like cobblestone, which is where this pack becomes super silly and kind of funny. Honestly, you’ll probably laugh the first few times you use it, but the novelty wears thin pretty quickly, and here’s why.
When you’re just walking around on solid land, it’s kind of ok. You can tell you’re walking on grass, dirt or other non-cobblestone surfaces by the sounds your footsteps make while you’re moving. You can even tell when you’re looking at a sea of cobblestone which as actually a body of water in disguise, thanks to the slight movement which can normally be seen in water source blocks. However, even lava looks like cobblestone, and that doesn’t do much moving at all. You will very likely traipse right into a pool of lava while using the Literally Cobble resource pack. Nothing could be more frustrating.
But then it’s also kind of funny, because when you inevitably do this and die in a pit of lava, your body will explode into nothing but cobblestone, which will also all be destroyed… by the pool of cobblestone. As might be imagined, there’s very little to say about the visuals in this resource pack. They certainly aren’t good – it’s just the same cobblestone texture recycled over and over and over (and over). Still, it’s good for a laugh, and that’s more than some other packs give you. Literally Cobble is a goofy resource pack which is guaranteed to make you laugh.
