If you’re a fan of big, beefy resource packs that make Minecraft look totally different then you will definitely want to check out Luna Falls. The 512x resolution makes it one of the most detailed resource packs available for Minecraft today, and the textures have more depth and realism to them than those you will find in the majority of other resource packs online. This pack doesn’t just add layers to textures to make them look 3D; you’ll actually see the eyes in end portal blocks bulging out because they are convex, and practically every type of wooden block and plank really shines.
Another point worth mentioning is how the water looks awfully realistic with the Luna Falls resource pack. It ripples, it features little waves, it even responds to you, like splashing when you jump into it. Many of the flowers, especially rose bushes, peonies and lavender, look amazing. The individual blooms on the two block height plants make each of them look more believable and realistic. Some of the textures like the water and lava also have custom movements and animations too. You will need MCPatcher or Optifine to make these new animations work normally.
That’s not really anything out of the ordinary though. Larger resource packs like Luna Falls often need a couple of mods to work at their best. The pack changes just about everything visual in Minecraft, even the GUI, which makes the game look like something out of a Pokemon game on the Nintendo DS. The author of this pack is even planning ahead and already working on a Minecraft 1.9 update for Luna Falls too. Of course, the version designed for 1.8 is totally functional and finished right now, so there’s no need to wait to try this pack.
