Souls Mod for Minecraft 1.11.2/1.10.2

If you’re an avid Minecraft player who frequently makes use of mods, then you’ve probably had your fair share of experience with the post-death inventory storage mods that allow you to recover your items from your character’s dead body whenever you die while out on an adventure. These mods are pretty useful but often times they lack a lot of key features which is why players don’t stick to them for long. The Souls mod has been designed to completely revise the concept of post-death inventory storage mods and is definitely one of the best mods of this kind out there.

Normally in mods like this, the corpse of the player’s dead character remains behind to carry the inventory items or a grave is spawned at the location of death. However, if you’re using the Souls mod, a soul will spawn at the location of your death and this soul will carry every single one of the items that you held in your inventory at the time of death. The one problem though is that you’ll need to fight these souls and defeat them if you want to reclaim your items and this can definitely be a challenging task if your character is ill-equipped at the time.

It’s also important to note that you don’t necessarily have to fight the soul to get your items back. If you have the Pickpocket’s Gauntlet, then you can attempt to steal all your stuff off the soul but be warned that this is a challenging task, and the soul will aggro immediately if you get detected during the process of stealing. The souls are also configurable so you can set their difficulty according to your preferences. Overall, this is a very well executed mod that revolutionizes the entire post-death inventory storage concept.
