TextureSplash is a top notch resource pack that aims to give the world of Minecraft a subtle but effective touch of realism in order to make the in-game experience more immersive for players. There have been lots of great realistic resource packs out there before, but a lot of them tend to go a bit overboard with the idea of realism and end up completely overhauling the visuals of Minecraft. However, TextureSplash is a unique and creative pack that gives the game’s graphics a realistic spin while simultaneously ensuring that the visuals don’t stray too far from their default style.
The TextureSplash gives Minecraft’s graphics a realistic touch by changing various different things such as the color palette and of course the overall design of a select few textures. Some of Minecraft’s vanilla textures can feel a bit too cartoon-ish at times, but this particular pack does an excellent job of redesigning these particular textures in order to make them look more lively and realistic. The other big change that can be seen in this pack is the fact that it darkens the color palette a little bit and, alongside this, the pack also removes most of the noise from the textures thereby giving them a more realistic and lively design.
The TextureSplash resource pack has the standard resolution of 16×16, and this is actually great for a lot of players because it means that players will be able to utilize the resource pack without having to worry about frame-rate troubles due to low-end hardware. It’s worth remembering, though, that TextureSplash is a work in progress right now because it’s sitting at 30% completion and this is why you might encounter missing textures if you use it in its current state.
