The 8 Portals Map for Minecraft 1.9.2/1.9

The 8 Portals Map is an extremely fun and highly challenging puzzle map that’ll put your observational skills through the ultimate test. Perhaps the biggest testament to this map’s quality is the fact that it has only been out for 10 days and in this short time frame, it has received multitudes of positive reviews and critical acclaim from basically everyone who has given it a shot. Perhaps the most noteworthy thing about this map is that it features a unique gameplay concept that’s rarely, if ever, been seen before and does a very good job of executing said concept to provide players a unique and engaging experience.

As the name suggests, The 8 Portals map has a total of 8 portals that you will have to navigate through. You can think of each individual portal as the pathway to the next stage, so there are 8 stages that you need to complete in this map. The whole idea of portals and most of the map’s gameplay can be slightly confusing at first, but fortunately, it comes with useful in-game instructions that’ll help you get the hang of the basics and play it without running into any issues.

The 8 Portals is definitely one of the shorter maps out there of its kind since there are only 8 levels and each level doesn’t take that long to complete. The map is also single-player only so if you were hoping to embark on the adventure alongside a buddy then that won’t be possible. The 8 Portals also had a fair bit of bugs on release but fortunately, these have been patched out and its current version, version 1.2, is relatively bug-free so your experience with the map should be pretty smooth and enjoyable without any major hiccups during the gameplay.

  1. How is this fun? I don’t understand. It’s a big open flat world of nothing. I’m given no direction to go in so I’m just exploring big open nothing with nothing in it. This isn’t fun.
