Trees of Stages is a mod that’s been built around the idea of adding a sense of authenticity and realism to the way trees operate in the world of Minecraft. As it stands right now, trees in Minecraft simply pop up out of nowhere instead of growing like actual trees would and Trees of Stages is a mod that’s here to remedy this particular problem. If you aren’t really fond of the way the growth of trees works in Minecraft then this is a mod that you will definitely need to try out as it has exactly what you’re looking for.
Features and Functionality
The Trees of Stages mod basically makes the trees in Minecraft grow like trees in the real world do. The mod makes it so that, instead of an entire tree showing up wherever you plant a sapling, there’ll first be a log where the sapling was placed and, after a while, there will be another log on top of it. In this way, the logs will keep growing and they’ll eventually sprout leaves. Once a bit of time has passed, you’ll be able to see the actual tree start to take shape and, while all this might not bring anything new or innovative to the gameplay, it’s still something that makes the world of Minecraft feel lively and authentic.
Compatibility and Technical Aspects
The Trees of Stages is currently only compatible with version 1.12.2 of Minecraft so you’ll need to ensure that you’re on the same version of the game in order to use it. The best thing about this mod is the fact that its compatible with all other mods that add trees to the game like Forestry, Natura, Terraqueous and other similar mods so, if you have these installed beforehand, you won’t have to worry about any potential compatibility issues surfacing and hindering your experience.
Although Trees of Stages doesn’t really bring any new groundbreaking mechanics to the table nor does it add any new kind of content to the game, it’s still a mod that we consider worthwhile due to how lively and realistic it makes the trees in Minecraft feel.
