Boxed Biomes is an enthralling parkour map that makes things interesting for the players by constantly changing their surroundings and putting them in new situations. The map takes place across four different biomes, each one with its own challenges to offer. The problem with a lot of parkour maps is that, no matter how captivating their gameplay is, they tend to feel repetitive after a while since the setting doesn’t change, but that won’t be a problem with this specific map since it’ll keep providing players with a new biome to parkour in.
The Boxed Biomes map takes place across four different boxes, and each box is home to a different biome. The four different biomes are Jungle, Desert, Mushroom Island and finally, there’s the Hell biome which, as the name suggests, is the most difficult of them all. The level design of Boxed Biomes is quite creative since each different level makes excellent use of a biome’s specific features to give players an intriguing and engaging experience. Perhaps the most impressive thing about this map is how it deals with level transitions. Once you get to the end of a level, you’ll have to go through an easy parkour sequence in order to get to the next one and by going through this sequence, you’ll get to watch the biome transition which looks and feels much better than being directly placed in the next level.
In terms of challenge, the Boxed Biomes map isn’t overly difficult, but we recommend playing it after you’ve gotten a bit of experience with some of the easier maps that are available. The map’s been built to run on Minecraft 1.10.2 so it goes without saying that you’ll need to be on the same version of Minecraft in order to run it properly. All said and done, Boxed Biomes is a stellar map that’ll have you hooked from start to finish.
