Climatic Islands is an intricately designed survival map that’s going to keep players interested from the first minute to the last because, unlike traditional survival maps, the map doesn’t keep utilizing the same setting over and over again. The map takes place across multiple different kinds of islands, and the thing that defines it is the fact that each individual island has its own unique climate so you’ll have to face various different kinds of challenges as you progress through the map. Climatic Islands isn’t really recommended for newcomers to the survival map category as it is quite challenging but, for seasoned veterans who want to test their skills, it’s definitely going to be worthwhile.
As mentioned above, Climatic Islands takes place across multiple different maps, and the goal is to, of course, survive through all of the challenges that these islands have to throw at you. You’ll have to scavenge resources, slay monsters and find shelter if you hope to make it through the map. One thing that we don’t necessarily like about Climatic Islands is the fact that, while the islands have different settings to make sure that things remain interesting, the actual gameplay seems to be a bit too similar in most cases, so the map actually starts to feel like a grind in some parts since players have to do the same things over and over again across multiple islands.
The Climatic Islands map has been designed for Minecraft 1.12.2, so you’ll need to be on the same version of the game if you wish to run it without encountering a bunch of compatibility problems. It’s also worth keeping in mind that Climatic Islands only supports single player mode at this time so, if you were hoping to take a friend with you on your journey, that won’t be possible at this time.
