Floating Islands is an engrossing survival map that promises to keep players entertained from the first minute to the last because, in terms of content, it’s nothing short of incredible. A lot of survival maps start of strong but, after a while, they start to feel repetitive because they keep repeating the same gameplay concepts and ideas over and over again. Floating Islands, on the other hand, is a map that keeps things interesting from start to finish and this is why we urge survival map fans to give the map a shot if they ever get the chance.
The Floating Islands map, as the name suggests, takes place across various islands that are floating in the sky. There are nine different islands to explore, and each individual island consists of its own tasks that players will have to complete in order to progress through it. In total, there are 22 different tasks to get through, and the map can only be completed if you succeed in every single one of the tasks.
It’s worth mentioning that the core gameplay of the Floating Islands isn’t anything out of the ordinary so, as long as you have a basic understanding of how survival maps work, you’ll feel right at home. However, the thing that sets the map apart is the fact that each individual island feels unique and the tasks assigned by the map are distinct as well, and this is why you’ll never feel the map becoming repetitive throughout your experience. The technical side of the map seems to be top notch as well because there don’t seem to be any noticeable issues that would hinder the experience for the players. All things considered, Floating Islands is an engrossing survival map that doesn’t cease to impress thanks to the insane array of content that it has to offer.
