The Floocraft Mod for Minecraft draws inspiration from the hugely popular and critically acclaimed Harry Potter series and aims to implement a feature from this series that’s sure to add a lot of depth to the standard Minecraft gameplay and make it more enjoyable overall. If you have some knowledge of Harry Potter, then you probably know about the Floo Powder that’s used in it. It’s basically a type of powder that you can throw into a fireplace. Once thrown into a fireplace, this powder turns the flames green and allows people to teleport through it to other similar fireplaces. This mod adds this exact same feature to Minecraft, and it actually synergizes quite nicely with it.
Of course, it’s paramount that you construct a fireplace before doing anything else with the Floocraft because all of what it does is based around using a fireplace. It’s also important that the blocks of the fireplace be arranged in a very specific order so that the special flames can work properly. However, there’s no restriction to what kind of material you can use for starting the actual fire so you can use whatever is the most convenient for you and this is something that players will appreciate quite a bit.
In order to use the actual teleportation of the Floocraft mod you simply get your hands on some Floo dust which can be crafted by combining ender pearls with gun powder and then throw it into any fire that you have going in the fireplace with blocks that have been constructed specifically for the purpose of teleportation. After you’ve thrown the Floo dust into the flames, they’ll immediately turn into a shade of emerald green and at this point you’re all set for teleportation. You can teleport to fireplaces that have been marked ready for teleportation, and you can also mark your own fireplace ready in order to allow other players to teleport to them.
