The Fullscreen Windowed mod for Minecraft implements the highly sought after setting that a lot of players simply cannot play without. There’s actually a pretty significant audience of players out there that players pretty much every game on this mode so it comes as a surprise that it’s not a default setting but, nonetheless, the Fullscreen Windowed mod takes care of the issue nicely. For those who don’t know what this mode is, it basically opens the game in windowed mode but stretches it across the entire screen to make it seem like it’s fullscreen. The primarily advantage of this mode is the fact that it makes it a lot easier to multitask because it becomes quite easy to tab between the game and other things.
It’s important to remember that, since Fullscreen Windowed is a mod and not an actual in-game setting, there are various inconveniences that you’ll have to go through in order to make it work. One minor flaw that we noticed is the fact that the windowed fullscreen setting actually replaces the default fullscreen setting so, if you’re using this mod, you actually won’t be able to use traditional fullscreen. Fortunately, this isn’t that big of a deal because you probably don’t use that setting anyway if you’re using this mod.
Using the Fullscreen Windowed mod is pretty simple because all players have to do in order to make it work is install it and then press F11 whenever in-game to access the windowed fullscreen mode. There don’t seem to be any noticeable technical issues in the mod right now so you should feel free to use it. Overall, Fullscreen Windowed is a great mod that’s sure to delight a lot of players because it implements a highly sought after setting into Minecraft.
