Minecraft’s Hangman map plays just like the popular word game. Two players compete against each other – one thinks of a word and the other tries to guess letters in the word. However, to keep things running smoothly, this version has a few restrictions in place. First off, the word maker must limit the length of their word to 15 characters. This includes spaces, though there shouldn’t be any spaces in a single word anyhow. The player trying to guess the word has eight chances to get a letter wrong. After that, they lost the game, but that’s pretty much standard for Hangman anyhow.
To keep things fair, the game itself is automated so the word maker can’t just change their word on the fly. The guesser will throw an item into a hopper marking the letter they want to guess, and if that letter makes up one or more of the letters in the word, it will be displayed in the game. If it doesn’t, the Hangman post will begin to construct right in front of your eyes. Making a word on this Hangman map requires you to place letter blocks in the correct order in the word chest. The game will take care of everything else after that.
