HatCraft Resource Pack for Minecraft 1.9.4/1.9

HatCraft is a fascinating resource pack because the idea behind it is rather uncommon. Some resource packs try to remain completely faithful to the vanilla Minecraft art style but on the other hand, there are resource packs that try to completely alter the way Minecraft looks. However, the HatCraft mod is essentially a mix of both these ideas because it tries to remain faithful to the original art style but at the same time, it’s also not afraid to change up a few of the game’s visual elements to make things more refreshing and unique for the players.

The primary highlights of HatCraft are without a doubts its smooth textures. They’re packed with just the right amount of detail in them which is why they’re easy on the eyes and just very clean overall. The in-game items have also been improved significantly with this pack and now have a much sleeker look instead of their default blocky and pixelated style. Alongside all these things there’s also the revamped color palette that does a phenomenal job of elevating the textures to a whole new level and making them shine. All these visual elements work together in harmony to make this one of the most visually appealing semi-faithful packs out there.

Built at a resolution of 32×32, HatCraft might not have the sharpest textures out there, but they’ve been designed well enough to stand toe to toe against some of the highest quality options available today. It’s important to note though that this pack came out only recently, so it’s still slightly incomplete. Fortunately, the developer has announced plans to make sure that it keeps receiving updates on a regular basis so it probably won’t be long before this pack is fully completed.
