The Elder Scrolls is a game series famous all over the world thanks to constantly innovative design, outstanding musical scores, cutting-edge graphics, and more. It also features some inspired architecture โ there are several different races of people with several different cultures and the world is one big mixup. Skyrim is the game people are talking about now, but back when Oblivion was new, it was just as popular. Fans of that entry in the Elder Scrolls series will probably love the Imperial City map in Minecraft. It has everything, even the white gold tower standing majestically over all else.
Naturally, if youโve already played through Oblivion, then youโll have a better idea of the cityscape. The stores are there, even if they arenโt carrying any stock. Most of the buildings have interiors built as well, which means hours of exploration for those who havenโt already played the Elder Scrolls game. While itโs just a shell compared to the far more immersive experience you get from the RPG, the Imperial City map is a good representation of a particular location within that game, and on a decent scale at that. With enough of the right mods, it really could be the Imperial City.
