Inspiration is a resource pack by TobiwanK3nobi. Though it hasn’t been officially updated in over a year, it is still one of the more popular resource packs for Minecraft. Because it is technically still in development, some issues may be corrected at a later date, but the author recommends installing MCPatcher to make sure some elements of Inspiration work properly. Featuring a fully updated GUI, new textures for monsters, villagers, construction blocks and various items throughout the world and a resolution of 32x, Inspiration is light, fast to load and easy to use.
Actually, the only reason you would need MCPatcher is because the glass textures don’t appear correctly without a certain setting turned on; the setting can only be adjusted using MCPatcher, so it is kind of necessary. Except for that small thing, installing Inspiration is just like installing any other resource pack. Just drag the zipped file to your resource packs folder and Minecraft will take care of the rest. It works normally with versions of Minecraft up to 1.5.2, and again, MCPatcher can help to make Inspiration work normally with later versions of the game client as well.
The thing is, despite the small size of this resource pack, Inspiration does a good job of making practically every Minecraft texture look better. There are even some maximum resolution packs at 512x which still fail to update every texture in the game, but that’s understandable considering the level of detail which goes into every texture in a pack of that resolution. Inspiration combines the perfect size and resolution, ease of use and installation, great-looking textures and more to give users the kind of resource pack they’re looking for when they want to change the look of Minecraft completely.
