Mine Raider is a captivating parkour map by Scythebrine who you’ll recall is the same person behind the top notch Hidden Buttons map. If you haven’t already guessed through its name, Mine Raider has been inspired primarily by the Tomb Raider series so you’ll definitely see a lot of similarities as you make your way through it. The map isn’t overly challenging and has mainly been designed to provide players with an engaging parkour experience that they can enjoy without having to try extremely hard from start to finish which is usually the case with most run-of-the-mill parkour maps.
The big highlight of the Mine Raider map is the fact that it not only features parkour gameplay, but also has a few puzzle, item finding, and adventure gameplay elements in it as well that add a lot of depth to the experience and make it a lot more enjoyable. Of course most of the time you’ll probably be going through parkour sequences since this is a parkour map after all but it’s still nice to have a change of pace every now and then because the gameplay can get repetitive otherwise. The actual design of the Mine Raider is quite engaging and it definitely manages to capture the essence of the Tomb Raider series since it has a lot of intense moments for players to enjoy.
Although Mine Raider is generally an easy map as compared to most usual parkour maps, its play-time is quite dependent on how skilled you are at Minecraft parkour. If you’re a seasoned player, then you’ll likely be able to complete the whole map in around 10 minutes, but if you’re new to maps of this kind then you might take as long as half an hour to complete the whole thing. However, no matter how long it takes you to finish the map, your experience will without a doubt be memorable and entertaining.
