Minecraft for Riches is a rather hilarious Minecraft map that’s been designed to portray what Minecraft would be like if it was infested with micro-transactions and various other cash grab elements that seem to have become commonplace in a lot of games nowadays. Micro-transactions can certainly help out the growth of a game but a lot of developers have completely ruined their games by focusing on them a little too much and Minecraft for Riches is a map that displays what Minecraft would be like if it took a similar route.
Gameplay
The Minecraft for Riches, at its core, seems like a pretty standard map since you have to do things like exploring the game world, slaying different kinds of mobs, completing quests, and doing a bunch of other exciting stuff but what makes the map so hilarious and intriguing is the fact that it actually holds players back from doing a few things and displays prompts that require them to make a purchase in order to do what they wanted to. Of course, you’re not actually supposed to be paying for this content with real money as there’s an in-game balance that you can pay from but it’s still quite funny to see these dialogue boxes pop up requiring players to pay before they can make any actual progress.
Compatibility and Technical Aspects
The technical side of Minecraft for Riches is pretty much immaculate so you probably won’t run into any major bugs or issues while playing it. You’ll need to be on Minecraft 1.13.2 if you want to play the map, though, as this is the only version of the game it’s compatible with.
Conclusion
All said and done, Minecraft for Riches is a hilarious but thought provoking map that you should consider trying out if you want something out of the ordinary to enjoy.
