Miner’s Delight Resource Pack for Minecraft 1.8.6

Because mining is such an important part of Minecraft (it’s right in the name even) any resource packs which make mining more interesting are usually worth a look. Miner’s Delight is such a pack and it makes many visual changes to the game without really affecting gameplay. In that way, it’s like most other resource packs. Unlike most other resource packs, this one has unique looks for its equipment, food items and the different ores which can be mined. The colors aren’t exactly bright, but they’re also not so dull that it’s impossible to tell different items apart.

With a resolution of 32x, most players will be able to use Miner’s Delight. That’s a medium resolution, or maybe even a little bit below average, since 64x is right in the middle. Also, because this resource pack is only about 2 months old, there are still some updates being made and it isn’t quite finished yet. So, if you like to watch packs as they develop and see the changes in real time while playing Minecraft, this could be a good pack for you. If you’re looking for realism in your equipment and items as well as your environment, this is also worth a look.

As the pack stands now, some users have complained the iron tools and equipment look more like stone. This is just one of several issues the author plans to work out in the coming weeks. And as far as 32x resource packs go, Miner’s Delight could probably be better. It’s not exactly anything special, but it still provides a significant improvement over Minecraft’s standard images and icons. It’s only going to get better with time, so if you don’t like it now, you still might later.
