My Imaginary Friend is a spine-chilling horror map that’ll have you spooked and immersed from the moment you decide to get into it. The map may not be that complex as far as functionality and features are concerned but, all things considered, it’s extremely well designed and worth giving a shot at because of how well designed its gameplay actually is. The best thing about My Imaginary Friend is the fact that, due to its simplicity and the lack of any complex mechanics, it’s a map that can be enjoyed by both veterans and newcomers to horror maps.
In My Imaginary Friend, your goal is to figure out a way to run away from a randomly generated monster who’ll be chasing you from the first minute of the map to the last. In the beginning, all you’ll be able to do is hide from the monster from the monster and avoid it, but the endgame goal of the map is to eventually craft an item that’ll allow you to escape the monster for good. Crafting the item won’t be an easy task, though, because the monster will be after you at all times and will stop at nothing to take you down.
One thing that impresses us quite a bit in the My Imaginary Friend map is the fact that it has an insane amount of replay value. Alongside the fact that the monster chasing you is randomized every single time you play the map, My Imaginary Friend also consists of various custom achievements that you can unlock if certain milestones are met so players can play the map over and over again in order to try and collect all the achievements. All things considered, My Imaginary Friend is a top-notch horror map that delivers on all fronts.
