Ned’s Crate is a parkour map that manages to add a creative new story into the mix on top of the usual parkour gameplay elements in order to give players an experience that feels out of the ordinary. As the name implies, Ned’s Crate revolves around a guy named Ned. Ned is a guy who’s always been pretty lonely and things have never really gone his way over the years. Ned wanted a toaster from IKEA but they went out of stock before he could find one. Now’s requested you to get the toaster for him somehow and, if you manage to do so, he’ll reward you quite heavily
It’s important to point out that Ned’s Crate is actually quite challenging and is definitely one of the more complex parkour maps we’ve had the privilege of enjoying recently. The jumps are quite hard to execute and there are tons upon tons of sequences that require extremely precise timing or you’re going to be dying quite a bit. However, in spite of the insane difficulty, the map still feels quite enjoyable because of the creative level designs as well as the fact that it doesn’t seem to have any noticeable bugs or issues that may end up having a negative impact on the overall gameplay experience.
The Ned’s Crate map comes with multiple different game modes for players to choose from and the hardest mode offered is the Insane mode. The Insane mode of the map hasn’t really been fully tested but the map’s creator has assured players of the fact that all the jumps and sequences of the map are completely possible and, no matter how impossible they may seem at first, there’s a way to get by them as long as things are played properly.
