The Old N’ New resource pack is an intricately crafted pack featuring an idea that we’ve pretty much never seen before in Minecraft. We’ve seen resource packs before that try to replicate visuals from an older version of Minecraft, but this is definitely the first pack we’ve seen that aims to combine the visuals of both old and modern Minecraft versions in order to give players something truly exceptional. Older versions of Minecraft definitely had an array of appealing visual elements that were eventually reworked but, thankfully, the Old N’ New resource pack brings together the best of both worlds in order to make for a visual experience that players won’t be disappointed with.
Alongside combining the visuals of both new and old versions of Minecraft, another goal of the Old N’ New resource pack is to ensure that the visuals are smooth and simplistic and, as it turns out, the pack has certainly managed to achieve this goal because the textures are incredibly smooth and don’t seem to have any amount of noticeable noise in them. Texture detail is another highlight of this pack because it manages to implement a lot more detail in the same old textures and this leads to visuals that are much more pleasant.
The Old N’ New resource pack has a resolution of 32×32, and this is because each and every one of the game’s textures have been upscaled by hand in order to get to this resolution and this is perhaps the main reason behind the incredible level of detail in this pack’s textures.
