The Pixel Perfection resource pack is unique among Minecraft content packs because it doesn’t really have any specific, underlying theme. Usually packs can be split up into groupings, like medieval, RPG, rustic and so on. But that doesn’t really apply here. Pixel Perfection was made by its author, for the use of its author, just to have a new set of visuals to see while playing Minecraft. That said, some of the new textures are real improvements while a few of them just kind of fall flat. But since the author doesn’t really care anyhow, it’s not like there’s anyone to complain to.
If you’re planning to use Pixel Perfection, you should know that it relies heavily on several functions native to MCPatcher, including things like custom colors and special biome colors, as well as the ever-popular connected textures, or CTM. You should definitely have a recent version of MCPatcher installed and working if you want to use this resource pack. Apparently there is some sort of theme, but it won’t be revealed until certain mobs from the Nether have also been retextured, so that’s something to look forward to. Or maybe it’s just a ruse to build suspense and create interest in the pack. Who knows?
As for the textures, they come in the standard 16x resolution, so you shouldn’t be holding out to see anything too sharp or detailed. There seems to be an overwhelming amount of green in the sky during early and late hours of the day, and it will probably be a shock the first time you look up and see a color like sea foam floating around above you. It still isn’t compatible with Minecraft 1.10.2, but updates to Pixel Perfection may change that in the future.
