If players were asked to pick out the two map categories that they feel are the most intense in Minecraft, they’d probably pick out PvP and parkour maps. Maps from both these categories deliver an exhilarating and challenging experience that’s definitely infuriating at times but it’s incredibly enjoyable as well. The Punchover manages to bring together the very best gameplay elements of both these distinct categories in order to give players an experience that’s quite unlike any other. We absolutely recommend this map if you want to enjoy PvP and parkour gameplay at the same time along with your friends.
In the Punchover map, you’ll get to play against up to three other players. The goal of the map is to parkour over the gigantic pit of lava while wreaking havoc on all the opponents. The map gives players access to tons of different weapons that they can use to displace opponents or simply deal an insane amount of damage that’ll eliminate them immediately. Most weapons are melee but there’s a tower at the center of the map where a special bow is hidden. If you can get your hands on the bow, you’ll be at a huge advantage because you’ll be able to inflict massive amounts of damage from a safe range. The winner of the map is whoever can get to 30 kills first and this is a pretty substantial amount so the gameplay lasts for a pretty significant amount of time.
The Punchover map currently has only one parkour arena but this is only because it just came out. In the future, we’re definitely going to see more arenas for this map because, according to the creator, they’re in development. Overall, Punchover is an awesome map that does an excellent job of bringing together the best things about parkour and PvP maps.
