Run From The Clock is a splendid map with a very peculiar mechanic that’s sure to provide parkour fanatics a captivating and immersive experience that’s quite unlike what most standard parkour maps have to offer. It’s worth mentioning before all else that this is one of the tougher parkour maps out there so if you’re just starting out with this map category, then it might not be the best idea to play this map as your first. However, if you’re a conditioned parkour player, then you’ll certainly like the unique mechanic and challenge that it brings to the table.
The gameplay of Run From The Clock, at its core, is much like that of any other parkour map, but the primary difference between this map and others is the fact that there’s actually a timer that you’re going up against. If the timer runs out, then you will be teleported back to the map’s lobby and from there you will have to start again. The timer is actually your experience bar, and it starts from full and keeps going down until it’s finally empty. Fortunately, checkpoints have been scattered throughout the levels that you can start from if you ever fall but keep in mind that these don’t apply to the timer so if the time runs out you will still have to start from the very beginning.
Run From The Clock Map has four different levels that players have to get through. All the levels are fairly challenging, so it’s best to bring your A-game if you want to get through it. The map’s been made to function with Minecraft 1.9.4 and above so using it with an older version of the game then you’ll probably run into a lot of compatibility issues. It’s also worth mentioning that Elytra doesn’t seem to work with the map due to whatever reason.
