The name Sassguard alone is enough to give players an idea of what this particular resource pack is going to look like. There’s no doubting the fact that a large majority of Minecraft resource packs tend to employ a realistic or photo-realistic look, and while this particular art style definitely looks good, it tends to feel rather stagnant since every other pack has the same look. The Sassguard pack goes against the usual trend and instead provides players with a rather bonkers and wacky look that provides a refreshing change of pace and gives a pretty memorable twist to the default look of Minecraft.
The Sassguard pack features a very unique completely hand drawn art style that’s a treat to look at. It features some extremely vibrant and colorful visuals, highly detailed textures, sharp item designs, completely redone mobs and a whole lot more. This is one of those packs that completely overhaul the entire look of Minecraft and because of this, it manages to give its players an incredibly immersive experience. The most major change that this pack makes is to the in-game environment. The terrain looks pretty cartoon-ish with this pack applied, and the cartoon-ish look goes incredibly well with the vibrant color palette.
Sassguard has a resolution of 128×128, and this resolution leads to a lot of pretty high quality and detailed textures that look amazing. Of course, the obvious drawback of having a relatively high resolution like this is the fact that players need a fairly high-end PC to run the pack without running into potential frame-rate issues. This isn’t to say that you straight up can’t run the pack on a low-end PC but if you do you will almost certainly face a lot of FPS-related issues if you do so.
