The name of the Sixteenth resource pack is certainly a peculiar one because the pack isn’t built at an x16 resolution and it doesn’t have an art style that resembles the name in any way. However, while the name might be strange and peculiar, the pack itself is a pretty high-quality one and you’re sure to enjoy it if you want a Minecraft resource pack that focuses on providing a medieval art style. Out of all the medieval themed packs available, Sixteenth certainly stands out from the crowd due to a variety of different reasons and this is why you’ll enjoy using it.
It’s important to note that the Sixteenth resource pack uses connected textures and this is why you’ll need to have Optifine installed beforehand if you want to use all the features that it has to offer. Onto the specifics, the textures of Sixteenth have quite a bit of detail in them, although, it’s worth mentioning that some of them seem to be quite noisy and this takes away from the pack’s appeal a little bit. Fortunately, though, the noise issue doesn’t affect a large portion of the game’s textures so you won’t see it all that often.
The Sixteenth resource pack has a resolution of x64 which is peculiar because the name would have you believe that the resolution is actually x16. Nonetheless, the x64 resolution means that the level of detail in the textures is quite high, although, it also means that you’ll have a bit of trouble getting the pack to run on low-end PCs.
