Steamed Up is a resource pack that came out roughly four years ago and, at the time of its release, it was actually one of the most creative and high-quality resource packs available because it had a pretty unique art style and, on top of this, its textures were top notch as well. However, after a while, the creator stopped updating the pack, and people stopped using it because the pack was no longer compatible with the latest versions of Minecraft. However, as of recently, the Steamed Up pack has been re-vitalized by its original creator who’s updated it to make it compatible with the latest versions of Minecraft, and we certainly recommend trying it out because it doesn’t have compatibility issues any longer.
The Steamed Up resource pack has a very creative realism focused art style that’s quite nice to look at. The pack’s textures are filled to the brim with detail, and they don’t seem to have any noise in them either which is why they look incredibly smooth and clean. It’s worth mentioning that the color palette used in this pack is definitely among the darkest color palettes that we’ve seen in Minecraft resource packs but, in this particular case, the dark colors actually synergize nicely with the pack’s realistic art style.
Perhaps the most surprising thing about the Steamed Up resource pack is the fact that it has a resolution of x16 even though its textures have so much detail in them. Thanks to the low resolution, you’ll be able to enjoy the pack’s top notch textures without any frame-rate issues, even on low-end PCs. It’s worth mentioning that, since the pack has been updated after such a long time, a few of its textures are still a work in progress and are subject to change.
