StepUp Mod for Minecraft 1.11.2/1.10.2

The StepUp mod is very simple and yet helpful mod that adds what at first sight seems to be a pretty basic feature, but it actually ends up proving itself quite useful in a variety of different scenarios. It’s a client sided mod that integrates pretty much seamlessly into the default playstyle of Minecraft so once you’ve played around with it a bit you will probably never want to stop using it simply because of how impactful it is to the gameplay in spite of the fact that it doesn’t make any major changes to the game.

The function that the StepUp mod implements is the ability to simply walk up the height of a single block without having to jump every single time you have to scale this tiny height. This might sound like an incredibly minor change no paper, but once you use the mod, you’ll see how tremendously this changes the gameplay. It makes navigation easier, and it gets rid of most of the hunger cost that you have to face when jumping. The mod functions fine in both single player and multiplayer modes so you’ll be able to use it whether you’re on an adventure solo or embarking on one alongside your friends.

Using the StepUp mod is extremely easy. All you have to do in order to enable/disable its effects is press the ‘J’ key. It’s a client sided mod, but it should work on most servers without any problems. However, there are some servers in which it’s been banned and there your character won’t be able to walk up the blocks even with its effects enabled. In these servers, it is probably best to disable the mod before proceeding any further because you might be banned from that server for ‘hacking’.

1. Download and Install Minecraft Forge
2. Download StepUp, Extract, place into mods folder at %appdata%/.minecraft/mods/
3. Run Minecraft
