Techno’s Timeless Resource Pack for Minecraft 1.8.7

It’s kind of hard to think of any resource pack as being “Timeless”. Packs get updated all the time, or don’t get updated and then stop working with more recent versions of Minecraft, or keep working but miss the new textures and end up looking butchered because of it. So you might be a little skeptical about Techno’s Timeless upon reading the name. That’s kind of a normal reaction. If you were to take the time to install the pack and load up a world with it enabled though, you’d see right away why the author had the audacity to call his textures timeless.

The reason? They’re simple but effective, boasting a low resolution but a crisp and clean look which you just don’t get from Minecraft’s standard textures. Without those blurry and muddy effects on things like gravel, dirt, grass and other textures, many objects, items and blocks look better. While Techno’s Timeless resource pack does feature a lot of very similar textures with simple palette swaps done to change the colors, it’s sort of the way simplistic packs were meant to be. Because so many of the textures are similar, you’ll find your computer having a much easier time rendering chunks.

If that’s not enough to get you interested in Techno’s Timeless then you’re out of luck. There’s really nothing else to say that could help sell the resource pack. If you’re not into simplistic textures of Minecraft packs that make the game look more like a cartoon or retro game from the 80s era, then you’ll want to stay far away from this pack. On the other hand, if that sounds like the exact opposite of you, then do yourself a favor and check out this pack.
