The Cat Islands is an exceptional adventure map that doesn’t really offer much in the way of innovation but is still absolutely worth giving a shot because it’s based on all the same great fundamentals and concepts that have made adventure maps a delight to play over the years so, while it doesn’t bring anything out of the ordinary to the table, it still has all the key features that you’d hope to see in a full-fledged adventure map and this is why it certainly comes highly recommended from us for those who are looking for a straightforward and immersive adventure map experience that doesn’t leave much to be desired.
Gameplay
In The Cat Islands, you play the role of a pretty regular salesman who was on a plane to meet his boss but, all of a sudden, a storm causes the plane to crash and land in a strange place referred to as the Cat Islands. It’s now up to you to explore these islands and uncover their mysteries by looking around and talking to the locals so that you may eventually figure out how you’re supposed to get off them and return to your normal life. The gameplay of the map doesn’t really consist of anything we haven’t already seen in adventure maps but, all things considered, it’s engaging and highly immersive so you’ll be hooked on the map until the end.
Compatibility and Technical Aspects
The Cat Islands is quite solid as far as its technical side is concerned and it’s key to remember that it’s available for Minecraft 1.14.4 only so you’ll need to ensure that you have the correct version of Minecraft before playing it in order to avoid compatibility problems.
