White Nightmare is a spine chilling horror map that promises to deliver an engrossing and nail-biting experience from the first minute to the last. The map essentially embodies every single thing that’s come to define a top tier puzzle map over the years, and this is why it’s sure to provide a memorable experience to anyone who tries it out. It goes without saying, though, that the map isn’t for the faint of heart because it has a bunch of jump scares as well as various creepy settings that’ll spook you to the core.
In White Nightmare, you play the role of an adventurer who’s on a quest to locate the pieces of a missing artifact. These pieces are located inside an old fortress, and the legend says that this fortress is haunted by Herobrine himself. However, the legends aren’t enough to dissuade you from actually entering the place. Once you get into the fortress, though, you realize that there’s quite a bit of truth to the legend that’s been told throughout the years. However, upon further investigation, you uncover an even darker realm with entities that can’t even be spoken of. It’s up to you to get the artifacts and escape the place before it’s too late for you and your sanity.
The gameplay of White Nightmare, much like a lot of horror maps, revolves around solving puzzles in order to get further and further into the map. The puzzles themselves aren’t that challenging, but they’re presented in a way that might be confusing at first, so you’ll definitely need to focus if you want to solve them as soon as possible. Other than the puzzle solving, there’s a bit of exploration as well for players who want to investigate the haunted realm and learn more of its secrets. Overall, White Nightmare is a phenomenal horror map that manages to deliver a truly scary experience.
