The name of the Better Vanilla resource pack alone is enough to explain what this pack has been designed for. Vanilla Minecraft is a great looking game at first but, after some time playing, the game world starts to look rather dull and repetitive. The game’s vanilla visuals have a few flaws as well such as the noisy textures and overly bright color palette but, fortunately, the Better Vanilla resource pack does an excellent job of remedying all the issues that vanilla Minecraft has in order to give players a refreshing and immersive visual experience that players are sure to enjoy.
The very first things you’ll notice upon installing the Better Vanilla resource pack are the insanely smooth textures that it has to offer. The pack does a near perfect job of removing the noise from the game’s textures and the end result is an extremely smooth looking game that players are sure to love. The pack also darkens the game’s color palette a bit as well and, while the darker colors might put a few players off at first, they actually seem to be a nice change because the game looks significantly smoother and cleaner due to them.
The Better Vanilla resource pack has the standard x16 resolution and this is, of course, to be expected since the pack aims to enhance vanilla Minecraft’s visuals without making any drastic changes. It’s worth mentioning that the Better Vanilla resource pack requires Optifine to function properly so you’ll need to install it beforehand in order to ensure that all of the pack’s features work as they’re supposed to.
